“Some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again.”
~ C.S. LewisSpark

Write a modern-day fairy tale based on your life. Where will you turn to for inspiration? Is your fairy tale replete with evil warlocks, fair maidens, goblins, fairies, elves, trolls and/or heroic princes? Is it set in a far away land or your local mall? Are you locked away in a tower or in a place without wi-fi?

Get creative, write and most of all, have fun! 🙂

“Successful writers are not the ones who write the best sentences. They are the ones who keep writing. They are the ones who discover what is most important and strangest and most pleasurable in themselves, and keep believing in the value of their work, despite the difficulties.”

~Bonnie Friedman, Writing Past Dark

Spark“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I ~I took the one less traveled by,
and that has made all the difference.”
~ Robert Frost

Write about a time when you chose the path less traveled. What was the outcome? What did you gain or lose? Would you choose the same path again?

Reflect and write.

“Usually, I have a lot of acquaintance with the story before I start writing it. When I didn’t have regular time to give to writing, stories would just be working in my head for so long that when I started to write I was deep into them. Now, I do that work by filling notebooks.”

~ Alice Munro,The Paris Review
